Vaping device may have led to fire at IUP dorm

Firefighters said a vape stick may have sparked a fire inside of the Wallwork dormitory on the campus of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. The fire broke out shortly after 11 p.m. Wednesday night. A sprinkler activated, putting out the fire before volunteer firefighters arrived. The only damage reported was smoke and heat damage by a bed in the area where the fire started as well as some water damage from the sprinkler.
