Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green said Monday after the team's 116-101 in Game 2 of its first-round playoff series that San Antonio Spurs center Davis Bertans should have been issued a flagrant foul late in the contest.

Green was given a flagrant-1 foul with 4:52 remaining in the game after his elbow seemed to make contact with Bertans' chin and sent him to the floor, but Green felt he was simply protecting himself. He told ESPN.com's Chris Haynes:

"I think it was a little bit of a flop. I don't even know if I hit him, but if I did—I'm not saying I didn't, I don't know—but if it's going to be a flagrant foul, shouldn't it be a double flagrant? Like, I can just get grabbed around my neck? I'm not going to sit up here and say I did nothing. I've got to get someone off my neck, though. If you're going to penalize me, then why not penalize both? That's really my only thing."

Green finished with nine points, six assists and five rebounds in the win.

Green now has one flagrant point on his record. If he accumulates five flagrant points over the course of the playoffs, it will result in a one-game suspension.

During the 2016 NBA Finals, Green was suspended due to points accumulation, which helped spur a comeback from a 3-1 series deficit by the Cleveland Cavaliers to win their first championship.

Despite his dubious history, Green said he isn't worried about staging a repeat: "Nah, I don't care. It is what it is. Life goes on. There's more important things in life than worrying about a flagrant point. Maybe it'll get rescinded. I got choked, put in a chokehold like I was in the WWE or something. So it might get rescinded. Who knows?"

Green didn't have a flagrant foul during the regular season, but he was second in the NBA with 15 technical fouls and he was ejected three times, per Fox Sports.

Monday's win gave the Warriors a 2-0 series lead over the Spurs despite being without the services of two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry.

Golden State will have a chance to extend its series lead to 3-0 on Thursday when it faces San Antonio in Game 3.
