UPDATE: Slain Pa. teacher's ex-fiance says he has 'nothing to hide' in baffling killing

Multiple gunshots rang out late Sunday night in Aliquippa, Beaver County, as a suspended teacher was fatally gunned down in her mother's driveway, with the suspect still at large.

Now there is a full-blown mystery surrounding the killing of 32-year-old school teacher Rachael DelTondo.

As KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh reports, DelTondo was suspended from her teaching job at Pa. Cyber after confidential information allegedly leaked from the Aliquippa Police concerning her and a former student. Her plans to marry also were scuttled by the controversy, KDKA reports.

KDKA cites sources saying the alleged police leak about DelTondo also prompted a Pa. state police investigation of the Aliquippa Police, with DelTondo cooperating.

Neither the Aliquippa Police nor the Beaver County District Attorney's Office would comment on the status of the investigation into DelTondo's homicide.

No suspects have been publicly identified.

She was gunned down after returning home late Sunday night from an ice cream shop. The hail of as many as 10 bullets erupted as Rachael DelTondo stepped onto the driveway of her mother's Buchanan Street home, KDKA writes.

She died in the driveway.
