November’s Most Popular Properties

The most-viewed properties in November on The New York Times’s Find a Home site included a waterfront estate in Japan, which held onto the top spot for a second month, and a $50 million house on Fifth Avenue.

A massive, resort-like home on 8.5 acres was the most popular listing in November, holding onto the No. 1 spot for the second consecutive month. An hour and a half from Tokyo, it would make for an impressive corporate retreat, given its oceanfront views and amenities.

The second most-viewed property also held onto its spot from last month. This three-bedroom redwood cabin, on about three-quarters of an acre, looks rustic but is almost brand-new. And it’s 90 minutes north of San Francisco, near attractions including biking, kayaking and wineries.

This three-bedroom home on the Caribbean island known as St. Barts was third. Surrounded by lush tropical landscaping, it has a pool and 180-degree views, making it a welcome escape from the stress of winter.

A desirable location facing Central Park, more than 20,000 square feet of living space and a price tag to match drew enough attention to land this princely abode in fifth place. The floor plan identifies 17 bedrooms and 15 bathrooms over eight levels. There’s a ballroom, too.
