I’m just wondering if I can fire in any rechargeable batteries into my vape or I need to buy specific batteries for it?

you need suitable batteries yes, what device is it and what power ranges do you vape at?

Just I’d rather spend a fiver in Asda for 4 rechargeable batteries rather than a tenner on the special vape ones you get haha, not if it’ll affect its performance though

They'll affect it's performance by being the wrong voltage and not fitting at all.

Asda doesn't sell batteries that will fit. If you really want unsuitable batteries that will melt your device PM me and I will send you some links.

Otherwise, order some of these: https://18650.uk/product/samsung-25r/

ilovepotv will get 10% off.

AA on the left, like you get 4 for a fiver in Asda - rechargeable rated at 1.2v

18650 on the right, as required for a drag - rated at 3.7v

Good luck.

Oh, and in case you're tempted to try going cheap...

Left is a 25r, suitable for powering a vape mod. Good cell, will cost about 3-4 quid each.

Right is a Sanyo ur-zy from a laptop pack.

Yeah, the Sanyo will physically fit - but it's rated for a 2.5A discharge rate.

DO NOT USE.

Seriously, don't. It'll overheat, go into thermal runaway, catch fire and spew something very much like burning napalm into your face (or your crotch if it fires in your pocket).
