Inter are closing in on the signing of Christian Eriksen from Tottenham Hotspur, at least according to a report from British newspaper The Mirror.

Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has travelled to London for talks with Spurs over his transfer and hopes to get a deal done for the Danish international in the next 48 hours.

Eriksen’s contract is up at the end of the season meaning he is free to sign a pre-contract with the club of his choosing but Inter are trying their utmost to get a deal done for him this month.

The former Ajax man could be one of three deals Inter go on to complete during this transfer window with them also working on deals to bring in Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud and Manchester United’s Ashley Young.

Chelsea are open to letting Giroud, who has fallen down the pecking order this season, go whilst United seem reluctant to do the same with Young, who has knocked back their offer to extend his contract which expires at the end of this campaign.
