Roberto Badaracco, the councillor for culture, sports and events in Lugano, Switzerland, has revealed talks are ongoing with Inter, who wish to spend part of pre-season training in the Italian speaking region of the country.

“We have not yet reached an agreement,” he explained in an interview with local newspaper Corriere del Ticino.

“We have made it clear right away to Inter that the main camp will be getting work carried out on it until the beginning of July and therefore, it not can be used, except for a possible friendly match with Lugano. This work cannot be moved because the Swiss season will start in mid-July.”

He continued, “For us it is a great opportunity to host Inter and we are trying to make everything fit together to reach an agreement from an operational and financial point of view. An agreement that must then be submitted to the council.”
