Fulani herdsmen in the early hours of today, Wednesday 20th February 2019 killed sixteen persons in Ebete in Usha ward in Agatu Local Government Area of Benue State.According to report,the attack on Agatu people started at exactly 1am when people were deeply asleep.

According to an eyewitness, Daddy Seni whose father was also killed alongside his siblings, he left his father at Ebete while heading to Aloko for fishing when he received a call from his father asking him to turn back that he has been shot by Fulani herdsmen. On reaching where his father was lying down in a pool of blood about giving up, he sighted his father and was going to take him to the hospital when he heard a voice from his father saying, "my son, don't bother about me and your siblings again, ours have finished, we can't survive this gunshots, run for your dear life to tell others about this", then he gave up.

The deceased son who narrated the incidence to Agatu Council Chairman Hon Alhaji Oyigocho who rushed to Ebete with some Council members alongside security men, said he heard the killers speaking Fulani language while trying to run from the scene as he (Seni the deceased son) hid himself in the bush.He said, among the sixteen persons that were murdered by herdsmen, three were Jukum hunters who were hunting animal before they met their untimely death while two of the Jukum hunters who couldn't die immediately but sustained bullet wounds were rushed to nearby hospital.

Hon Alhaji Oyigocho urged Agatu sons and daughters to remain calm to allow the law enforcement agencies to  carry out their duties effectively.
He was accompanied to the scene by the council Secretary Hon Abdul Abdullahi, His Special Adviser on Security and political matters, Hon Edwin Eheda among other Council members alongside the security men in the area.

Why can't GMB use the sane energy and force he used to warn ballot snatchers to also warn Fulani Herdsmen? They would have long calmed down if he had ordered Army to take care of their dastardly menaces.

I haven’t heard much of the herdsmen’s exploits lately. They seem to have taken a break from their murderous reign of terror on communities.......But the lull is not a reign of peace or a sign that our common humanity has suddenly taken a new significance to these killers.

No! The relative peace we are witnessing is a realisation that their killing spree of innocent people would badly affect the outcome of the 2019 elections in which their life patron, and chief enabler is likely facing a humiliating defeat. Who says these killers are not astute in the their calculations? Who says these terrorists have no supporters in this government who can tell when to pull back?

They are looking at the politics and tailoring their actions to give their patron saint a chance. If not, why the sudden lull so close to the elections? If the election goes the way of Buhari, these killers would resume their nefarious mission of death and destruction on a scale never before seen. There will no longer be any inhibition to their reign of terror, and the ferocity of violence will shock the world.

Let no one be fooled by the peace of the graveyard that we are currently witnessing in the North-east & North-central or in other parts of the country.The herdsmen are simply waiting for their patron to win another four years in office and then they would unleash another round of mayhem on the country.

As you prepare to cast your vote on Saturday February 23rd, ask yourself what future you want for Nigeria. What kind of country do you want for your children to live in?

Is it a country ruled by a nepotistic, clannish and stone-age leader or one governed by a fair and broad-minded visionary? Is it a country ruled by bullying and an iron fist or one governed by the rule of law and due process? On the basis of what is anyone supporting Buhari?

These attacks are being orchestrated by PDP just to score cheap point and make people vote against Buhari's government with the promise that they'll tackle the problem when they're in power. Same approach was adopted and gave birth to BH which has refused to be tamed.. There's no way Buhari will be seeking vote and still be killing the people he needs their vote in the middlebelt.

The point here is these Politicians don't care about you rooting for them. If Tens of thousand of you shouting Sai buhari/Atikulated is needed to be wiped off as sacrifice to get to that political appointment, they won't hesitate to do that. Whether na Buhari retain power or Atiku becomes President. Your suffering continues till you stop recycling these old cargoes. The joke is on Y'all.
