Chelsea have told Victor Moses he can leave the club in January - as long as they get a £12million fee for their forgotten man.

The former title winner has struggled to establish himself in Maurizio Sarri's plans and is now on the lookout for an escape route when the transfer window opens.

But according to The Sun , the Blues are demanding a £12m fee with London neighbours Crystal Palace reportedly interested.

Moses came through the academy at Selhurst Park before moving to Wigan in 2010 and eventually finding his way to Stamford Bridge two years later.

Fulham could also be tempted to make a move for the 27-year-old Nigerian as they aim to strengthen their side ahead of a relegation scrap.

One reason Chelsea will allow Moses to leave is they see a future for powerful 19-year-old right-back Reece James at the club.

James is currently on loan at Wigan but the Blues are regularly sending staff to watch him in action to ensure he knows he is in their long-term plans.
