Police ID victim in fatal crash in Alexandria

WASHINGTON — Police have identified the man who died in a motorcycle crash on King Street in Alexandria early Friday morning.

Police said that Victor Fugitt, a 34-year-old man from Haymarket, Virginia, died after his motorcycle hit a light pole on eastbound King Street a little after 2:30 a.m. on Friday.

The investigation is still ongoing. King Street was closed in both directions for several hours early on Friday morning after the crash.
