Hi, I just set up my jac vapour s22 and I'm getting very little vape per hit and a very intense throat/chest burn, I'm guessing its a dry burn. I primed the coil and even if I hadnt, its been soaking in juice for an hour now, so surely it would have self primed by now. Please help guys, this is my first time trying Vale.

Hi Gavin, what liquid have you put in it? And what nicotine strength is it?

The coil that came with the tank could have gone or be faulty. Did you order a pack of spare coils from Jac when you bought your S22? I have this kit too and find it excellent and the coils are superb but I know there are a few coils that go awry. If you have spares remove the coil and replace it with a new one. Drops in the side holes and a couple in the top. Fill the tank and leave it 5 mins. Should be fine.

Hi Gavin and welcome to the Planet.

a few things we need to ask first.
have you fully charged the mod. a full battery is always a good start.
which coil have you got loaded as im not sure what comes pre installed as i had the beta test version.
and as mentioned what liquid are you using and whats its ratio of vg/pg

getting a dry hit straight away especially with jac coils is almost unheard of but it can happen.

Brand new first time use? Have a look over some setup vids and make sure you're doing everything as instructed.

If you're fired the vape without juice at any point you will most likely have fried the wick in the coil, beyond that, as already suggested maybe you've been unfortunate and have a dud coil(only solution in that situation is to replace it with a fresh one).

Yeah, kind of like the post above. I never put a tank with a new coil in it without any juice in the tank on a mod then fill it. If the mods on, even though you dont press the fire button, the mod will hit the coil for a split second to read its resistance. If no juice is in it or hasn't fully wicked that'll be the end game for that coil. I fill all my tanks when it's a new coil off the mod and wait till its fully wicked. Though before I fit a coil I personally fully wick it anyway. Drop in each hole, rotate, repeat, until i see that cotton where it meets the wire/mesh is fully saturated. This may be nothing to do with your issue but its good to remember these things. I fried numerous coils before doing it that way, now I fry none.
