The Rolling Stones announce new compilation album 'Honk' featuring Dave Grohl
The Rolling Stones will release a new compilation album called ‘Honk’ on Friday 19th April 2019.
The best of record boasts 36 hits and classic cuts from every Rolling Stones studio album from 1971’s ‘Sticky Fingers’ through to 2016 covers album ‘Blue & Lonesome’.
In its standard edition, ‘Honk’ will be released via Polydor on 2xCD, 3xLP vinyl and digital formats. Legendary songs that feature include ‘Brown Sugar’, ‘Tumbling Dice’, ‘Angie’, ‘It’s Only Rock’n’Roll (But I Like It)’, ‘Fool To Cry’, ‘Miss You’, ‘Emotional Rescue’ and ‘Start Me Up’.
The bonus disc of the deluxe 3CD edition will feature 10 live track recorded at stadiums across the globe on the band’s 50 And Counting, Zip Code and No Filter tours.
‘Get Off My Cloud’, ‘Let’s Spend The Night Together’ and ‘Under My Thumb’ were recorded in Cardiff, Manchester and London, respectively, during the UK leg of the 2018 No Filter Tour.
It also features ‘Bitch’ with Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl recording on the 50 and Counting Tour plus collaborations with Ed Sheeran, Florence Welch and Brad Paisley.
The release of ‘Honk’ precedes the start of the North American leg of the No Filter Tour, which kicks off at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida on Saturday 20th April.
The Rolling Stones recently commenced work on their brand new studio album, which will be their first of original material since 2005’s ‘A Bigger Bang’.
