Narromine firies hosted a trivia, auction and karaoke night last Saturday at the Royal Hotel.
As a treat, MND sufferer Darren Yeo from Condobolin, who grew up in the Elon Elong, Dubbo and Narromine districts was present with his wife, mother, family and friends to discuss his experience with the disease.
Station commander Captain Ewen Jones said it was a “very fantastic and rewarding night” and Mr Yeo’s presence made the night very special.
“Auctioneer Jason Hartin did a fantastic job, selling the many items donated by Narromine and Dubbo businesses,” Captain Jones said.
“Tambo's Karaoke kept the night going until midnight, with some good, and bad singing,” he said.
The fundraiser comes as Retained Firefighter Lynden Davis prepares to climb Sydney Tower in the 2018 Firefighters Climb for Motor Neurone Disease challenge to raise money for research.
