Labor Day means a lot of things to a lot of people. For some, it honors America's strong labor force, and for others it means the autumn semester is starting and summer is over. For tech buyers, it's one of the best times to find good deals. A number of retailers are holding labor day sales for TVs, laptops, and other personal electronics. With some help from the team at TechBargains, we've highlighted some of the very best sales below.
43-Inch TCL 4K Roku TV for $280 (Was $300). TCL's Roku TVs are frequently on sale, and this weekend is no exception. But at less than $300 and with Roku baked in, it's still worth highlighting. This 4K TV isn't best-in-class, but you won't find a better set for the price, and Roku is better than almost any other built-in TV interface.
65-Inch LG OLED 4K TV for $1,600 (Was $2,300). We love LG OLED TVs. They have the most beautiful screens in the market, by a good margin. This refurbished OLED is hugely discounted, and worth a look if you want an OLED TV this size.
70-Inch Vizio E Series for $800 (Was $1,050). Yes, a 70-inch 4K TV for under $1,000. If you want a TV nearly as big as they come, this is one of the best options you'll find. The E Series comes WIRED Recommended.
Google Home for $99 (Was $129). The standard Google Home speaker doesn't sound as good as some of the Best Smart Speakers, but it's more than adequate for many homes.
Google Home Mini for $39 (Was $49). Google Assistant is currently our favorite home voice assistant (we like it better than Alexa), and the Home Mini is the cheapest, easiest way to get into the ecosystem.
Chromecast Ultra for $59 (Was $69). Chromecast Ultra is one of the Best TV Streaming Devices you can own, and is especially good if you like using your phone to browse TV shows and movies. The Chromecast lets you "cast" whatever's on your phone directly to your TV from apps like YouTube and Netflix.
13-Inch Lenovo Ideapad 720S for $630 (Was $900). This laptop has a solid AMD Ryzen CPU, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD for file storage, along with a fingerprint reader.
15-Inch Lenovo Legion Gaming Laptop for $900 (Was $1,300). With a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 GPU and a 7th Gen. Intel Core i7 CPU, this laptop is great if you're a gamer.
15-Inch Dell Inspiron Laptop for $700 (Was $850). This laptop can only do light gaming, but is a powerful system for most other things with an 8th-generation Intel Core i7 CPU, 8GB RAM, 1TB hard drive, and 128GB fast SSD storage, as well.
17-Inch Dell Inspiron Laptop for $600 (Was $800). If a big screen is what you want, that's what you'll get, along with a solid 8th-generation Intel Core i5 CPU, 1TB hard drive, and 8GB RAM.
More Laptop Deals. You can find more Labor Day laptop sales directly from Lenovo, Hewlett Packard, or Dell.
These Amazon Echo deals will end by by 9 p.m. PT, Sept. 3.
Echo Show for $130 (Was $230). Our Top Pick
Echo Plus for $100 (Was $150). The best-sounding Echo Amazon makes.
Nintendo Switch + Free 64GB MicroSD Card for $300. If you order a Nintendo Switch from Best Buy, they will throw in a free 64GB Sandisk MicroSD card, normally worth up to $25. Every Switch owner needs a MicroSD card anyway because the system only comes with 32GB of storage onboard (barely enough to download a few big games). So why not get one for free?
Nintendo Switch 2-Game Bundle for $360 (Normally $410). This new Walmart Switch bundle comes with the console and two games: Mario Tennis Aces and 1-2 Switch. Both are fun multiplayer games that will get you started. There are a lot of awesome Switch games to play.
New Switch Adjustable Charging Stand for $20. This official stand lets you charge the switch and use it in tabletop mode, which isn't usually possible because the charger is on the bottom. If you plan to play without a TV, this is a nice little accessory to own.

Biolite Solar-Powered Portable Light for $21 (Was $25). Use code CHILLOUT at checkout to get a 15 percent discount. We own this little solar-powered lamp and use it on our desk. It works very well, with 50 hours of light from a 7 hour solar charge (or less if you use Micro USB).
Anker Wireless Charging Stand for $24 (Was $36). This stand works well with Galaxy phones, iPhone X, iPhone 8, and any other handset that supports wireless charging. The incline keeps the phone charging properly.
iRobot Roomba 980 for $700 (Was $900). This is WIRED's Favorite Robot Vacuum. It's more expensive than many, but its rubber carpet agitator sets it apart, helping it get dust and hair out of rugs pretty well. It also never seems to get stuck and finds messes easily with its Dirt Detect system.
Eufy RoboVac 11S for $180 (Was $230). Use code EUFY1808 at checkout to get the full discount. This smaller version of Eufy's 11 series is one of the slimmest botvacs around. The 11 series is our favorite robot vacuum under $300.
Bose QuietComfort 35 II for $299 (Was $349). These Bose over-ears are still one of the best wireless headphones you can buy, with solid battery life, good sound, and fantastic noise-cancelling.
Apple iPad Mini 4 128 GB for $300 (Was $400). Getting 128GB of storage in an iPad for $400 was pretty good, but now the Mini 4 is $100 cheaper than normal. It remains a WIRED pick for Best Tablets.
