Many reports suggested that Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta would have been appointed between Inter’s matches with Tottenham Hotspur and Roma. This did not happen and Sky Sport report that Inter have a new plan as to when they will announce his appointment.

The current Nerazzurri management have postponed Marotta’s appointment as chief executive of the club until after their final Champions League group stage encounter with PSV Eindhoven in eight days time.

They have done this to allow the team to focus upon the Derby D’Italia with Juventus this coming Friday as well as the aforementioned match with PSV, which is decisive for Inter and their hopes of qualifying for the knockout stages of the competition.

At today’s Lega Serie A meeting, reporters swarmed Marotta and asked him about his future and if he would be there to watch Juventus vs Inter at the Allianz Stadium to which he simply replied, “let’s see.”
