AC Milan are in advanced talks with former Inter manager Luciano Spalletti to take over from current manager Marco Giampaolo according to a report from Milan based news outlet Gazzetta dello Sport.

Despite leading the Rossoneri to just a third victory of the season at the weekend, AC Milan club leaders have already seemingly made their mind up about former Sampdoria boss Giampaolo, who they will dismiss once they strike an agreement with Spalletti.

Milan have made their worst start to the league campaign in decades under Giampaolo’s tutelage and currently find themselves down in 13th in the Serie A table on just nine points after seven matches.

The report goes on to explain that the Rossoneri are also now in talks with Inter about getting Spalletti’s contract with the club terminated. Spalletti was sacked by Inter during the Summer and still has a contract until the end of the 2020/21 season.
