Previously unused footage of an early trip by Queen Elizabeth II to Dorset has resurfaced.
Dorchester Town Council highlighted the British Pathè footage from 1952 which shows Her Majesty the Queen during her first year as monarch.
The six minute film shows clips from a royal visit to the Duchy of Cornwall when the Queen arrived by steam train at Dorchester West station.
Queen Elizabeth II is then pictured getting out of the train and being greeted by officials - including the Earl of Shaftesbury.
Large crowds of children are shown holding Union Jack flags.
During her visit to the Duchy of Cornwall she can be seen greeting hundreds of well-wishers.
Her last visit to Dorchester came 64 years later, in 2016, when she attended with Prince Phillip, (then) Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall.
