Former F1 driver Bruno Senna took to social media in order to confess his admiration for the McLaren 675LT, after taking it out for a spin at Silverstone.

To be specific, the exact words used by Bruno when describing the 675LT were “Best road car I’ve ever driven”, which shouldn’t really come as a surprise, should it?

Well, consider the fact that we’re talking about a 675 PS, 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) track monster, that weighs just 1,403 kg (3,093 lbs). It needs just 2.9 seconds in order to get from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) and it can hit a top speed of 330 km/h (205 mph). It’s a beast in a straight line and it’s a beast in the corners as well, undoubtedly – otherwise, why would Bruno be so impressed?

On the other hand, there are a few other road cars that, at least on paper, should be even better than the 675LT. Most obvious would be the P1, which Senna definitely drove since he’s mentoring the P1 GTR Owners program. So why would he like the 675LT more? Hard to tell.

Then there’s the LaFerrari of course, Porsche 918 and a few other ones that, again, on paper should eclipse the 675LT which is “just” a supercar, and not a hypercar.

However, we can’t ignore personal preferences here, especially since plenty of people still swear by the Porsche Cayman for example, as opposed to plenty of other faster models which actually fall into the ‘supercar’ category.
