We need not have to wait for the Bentley Bentayga to be fully unveiled, as its design no longer holds any secrets. Its production-spec body was revealed via these shots of a 1:18 scale model in China.

Firstly, I`ll come in on a personal note and say it looks boring and predictable and by no means better than the EXP 9F concept that split opinions at its reveal. That was a far more flamboyant attempt at making an opulent luxury SUV and it really worked – this is so bland, if you were mean you could call it a Touareg with round headlights and a flashy bits stuck on.

Obviously, we’ll have to see it in the metal to confirm, but first impressions aren’t blowing us over by any means.

These shots of the scale model obviously lack fine detail, but it’s clear the Bentayga is a more Continental-like Bentely and not a Mulsanne-like (proper) Bentley – I don’t think it will be a head turner if painted an understated color.

Maybe they really made a mistake not making the EXP 9F as it was, going for this instead… Scroll down for the photos posted courtesy of CarNewsChina.
