Wild Diet Book – Does Abel James’ Diet Help Burn Fat?

Wild Diet Review

The Wild Diet by Abel James features a 40-day program that promises to help people lose lots of weight.  Drawing upon the fame of its author, the book has picked up a major publisher and is now enjoying swift sales and tons of popularity.

Let's see what the hoopla is all about.

About Fat-Burning Man; Abel James

The “company” is really just Abel James, his publicist, and a major publishing house.  Mr. James goes by another name: “The Fat-Burning Man”.  This is related to the show with the same name, for which he is famous.

The Fat-Burning Man Show gets half a million downloads per month and at one point was the number one ranted download on the iTunes Health list.  From 2012 to 2014 it was ranked in the top 10 of ALL downloads for audio and video podcasts.

More evidence of success for Mr. James comes in the form of 125,000 visitors per month (unique visitors, I might add) plus an enviable email list of 35,000 people.  Most of the people, by the way, are also his customers.

His health show is the top-rated health show in more than a handful of countries.  He also created a cooking app called Caveman Feast, which outplayed Angry Birds AND The Food Network's apps in its debut.  He got 1,000 5-star reviews for the app in just 24 hours.  Chalk it up to impeccable marketing but his products must have at least a modicum of merit.  Those are some pretty good stats!

But what are James Abels credentials?

Here's the impressive list, proving that he knows about losing weight and eating healthy food from a personal perspective as well as a scientific point of view:

— Graduated from Dartmouth as a Senior Fellow with Honors (a very big deal).  His research?  Brain science, music and the outdoors.  The resulting book became a #1 Amazon best seller.

— He lectures on the elite circuit, meaning for Fortune 500 companies, Ivy League universities, and the federal government.  Advising for Microsoft?  Done it!

— Abel himself was pretty chunky and unhealthy at one point in the past.  He brought down his weight (as well as his blood pressure) with the precursor to the Wild Diet which he's selling now.  He also cured his insomnia, digestive problems, acne and love handles with this diet he created.

Fat-Burning Man

The Wild Diet is a hardcover book, an audio program, and an eBook.  Whichever way you prefer your literature, the message remains the same:  whole foods, natural foods, fresh air, and eating well are the basic ingredients for a fat-burning body that looks and feels great.

The diet plan is flexible, easy, enjoyable and healthy.  There are no pills, no counting calories, not starvation, and no gimmicks here in the Wild Diet.  And people eat this up: Abel claims that humans are wired to live a luxurious life and eat good food.  Lowering the caloric intake isn't always the best way to lose weight, and nobody should be starving him or herself.

Love it so far!

His nutrition plan includes these features and more:

— Eat Whole Foods

— Avoid Processed Foods

— Put Foods Found In The Wild At The Top Of Your List Of What's On The Menu Each Day

— Eating This Way Can Reverse Negative Side Effects Of Eating Poorly For Many Years

The Wild Diet great ratings on all the book-selling websites.   On Amazon 141 reviews netted him a rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars.   Head on over to Audible.com, the biggest marketplace for audio books, and Mr. James' book has 142 ratings with a score of 4.7 out of 5.

The Verdict On Wild Diet Plan

The Wild Diet plan very closely resembles the Paleo Diet.  Mr. Abel admits that the plan is Paleo-inspired, after all, so what's the difference?  The popularity of the book may lie in the fact that James Abel is pure marketing gold.  People already love his Fat-Burning Man show, and I myself am pretty impressed with his credentials.

The only drawback to this Wild Diet book is the cost.  At almost $50 a pop, it's an expensive book.  Compare it to a “diet plan” however, and the cost seems pretty low, and pretty much worth it.
