Type "Send Directions" Into Google to Navigate on Your Phone

Headed somewhere? Instead of opening up your phone and searching for a location, you can now just type “Send Directions” into Google on your computer, and send those directions right to your Android device.

It’s as simple as it sounds. Just make sure you’re using Chrome (correction: it also works in Firefox and Safari!), are logged into your Google account, and have an Android device connected to that account. Then:

  1. Open up Google.com on your computer and type “Send Directions” in the search box.

  2. Press Enter.

  3. Enter your starting and ending locations, choose your phone from the dropdown in the upper right-hand corner, and send the directions to your phone.

  4. Unlock your phone and it’ll automatically open Google Maps with the directions loaded. Neat!

Of course, you could also open your phone and say “Navigate me to...” but this is another simple option, especially if you’re copying and pasting an address. Read more at the link below.
