He knows exactly when Jimmy had died, when his soul had left, and when Castiel became the only occupant of this body. But, this was still Jimmy’s body. No one inhabits this flesh but Castiel, yet he feels he can’t claim any ownership over it.

Listening to music, training or hunting monsters, even listening to the endless bickering of Sam and Dean made him much more comfortable. Castiel started gravitating towards them and on occasion, started some of the arguments for them when he felt the silence became too unbearable.

Out of all the rules and commandments of the bible, ten of them were etched in stone.
Commandment #1 says to have no gods before God.
And, although Castiel is an angel of the Lord, following every rule and refraining from sin is much more difficult than he had originally anticipated.
Ironically enough, it's commandment number one that is the hardest to follow when Dean Winchester comes into Castiel's life, turning it upside down and becoming a new being to look to for guidance when the angel's faith in his Lord begins to waver.
