The whole "emotion" part of all this just doesn't seem to be connecting, here. Considering he just committed suicide, that probably isn't such a bad thing.
Dean is glad that being a demon apparently makes him less of an idiot. The solution is obvious—as long as feeds the Mark with monster hunting, he's good. And it's not like he had plans to retire. Yeah, okay, sure, two actual humans are dead, and that isn't really his thing, but it was pretty much justified. They pushed him into it. He shouldn't feel bad. He doesn't feel bad.
This whole demon thing is kind of a fucking blessing, actually. He doesn't even wanna kill himself at all right now. No more nagging conscience and obsessive guilt. All of his misery has just been washed away, like the garbage from before doesn't matter now. He was even able to think about how fuckable his angel would look working on the Impala. No flashbacks to Dad tearing into him as a kid for checking out other boys the same way he did girls.
Shit, if being a demon just washes away all his baggage—10/10, no notes.
Who'd have thought that becoming a demon was the key to happiness?

Réduit à l'impuissance totale et persuadé que personne ne parviendra à le trouver à temps, Dean n'a plus qu'à attendre son heure. Il est surpris de se réveiller à l'hôpital quelques jours plus tard, Bobby à son chevet. Et le vieil homme semble vraiment sérieux lorsqu'il lui avoue qu'il doit sa vie à un ange prénommé Castiel.
S'ensuit un long processus de guérison à travers lequel le jeune Winchester devra trouver un nouveau sens à son existence tout en apprenant à vivre avec son plus récent trauma, mais il peut toujours compter sur Bobby et Castiel pour lui rappeler qu'il est aimé et qu'il a de la valeur. -

What starts as a relaxing beach vacation in Hawai’i turns into a journey of self-discovery for Castiel and Dean.
To save the world from the Darkness, they both faced what they thought to be their imminent demise and came out the other side very much still alive. So now they have to ponder the really big questions, such as what a bucket list is, what place in the world a fallen angel has, and how Indiana Jones ever managed to keep that hat on his head.
The island seems to have a way of making the barrier of touch crumble to dust until they're sliding toward the edge of something new and fragile between them that neither of them dares to put a name to, lest it might disappear.
When what really disappears is Castiel, there's very little Dean wouldn't do to get the angel back.

The point was that Cas fell out of that barn and right into Dean’s life like he’d always belonged there. Like there was a Castiel-shaped spot missing somewhere and he’d slotted right into it. Over the past several months, the two of them haven’t been apart for more than a couple hours and Dean wonders how he ever went on without him. How it was even possible that Cas hadn’t been there the entire time.
