Ed Sheeran Literally Takes You To Church With His Hozier Cover
Ed Sheeran popped by BBC Radio 1's "Live Lounge" on Tuesday (September 30), and he brought a superb cover of Hozier's "Take Me To Church" with him. Oh yeah, and he also brought THAT FAAAACE, but I think that kinda goes without saying.
In case you're not familiar with the Irish singer-songwriter, Andrew Hozier-Byrne broke down his moody, soulful single for MTV last March. In part: "It's about humanity at its most natural, and I guess the song is very much about sexuality, about the sexual act itself." And yes, Sheerios -- Ed delivers.
And I'm not the only one who thinks so. After watching the "Don't" singer's rendition of his original song, Hozier tweeted: "Ridiculously flattered to hear @EdSheeran covering one of my songs."
In response, Ed wrote that he was "very chuffed" that Andrew was a fan, which might just be the most British thing that any British person has ever said. #chuffed
