Well, this is awkward. Columbus Short is hosting a Scandal season 4 premiere party despite being fired from the hit ABC show this past April. The actor, who played Olivia Pope’s right-hand man Harrison Wright on the drama, posted a flyer to his Instagram promoting the party, which is set to go down at Boogalou Lounge in Atlanta, Ga. on Thursday, Sept. 25.

“GLADIATORS #standup #ItsGoingDown #Gladiator available tomorrow on #ITUNES and the long awaited premiere of #Scandal @kriskelli @bigblockesc #CoStarz,” Short captioned the post.

On Valentine’s Day, Short was charged with misdemeanor spousal battery and ordered to stay away from wife Tuere Short, who later filed for divorce. In late March, Short was arrested again on a felony battery charge after a restaurant brawl.

Following the incidents, Short confirmed to Us Weekly he was exiting the show after three seasons.

“At this time I must confirm my exit from a show I’ve called home for 3 years, with what is the most talented ensemble on television today,” Short said. “I would like to first thank [creator] Shonda Rhimes for the opportunity to work with such an amazing cast. Thank you GLADIATORS, who have supported me throughout my entire career and of course to ABC and Shondaland for allowing me to play such a pivotal role in the Scandal series. I have enjoyed every single minute of it. Everything must come to an end and unfortunately the time has come for Harrison Wright to exit the canvas. I wish nothing but the best for Shonda, Kerry and the rest of the cast, who have become like a second family to me in such a short amount of time. For this, I will forever be grateful.”

In an interview with Access Hollywood in July, the actor admitted that his TV family “knew that I was going through a tough season and … they did the right thing.”

Fans were left with Short’s character being held at gunpoint in the season 3 finale.
