Danarius laughed. “He was born as my belonging, Lady Hawke, and I believe I already told you that any offer would be taken as an insult and dealt with accordingly.”
Hawke grit her teeth, feelings of panic and fear swelling up inside her. She couldn’t let it show, though. She had to be just as tough as Danarius and try to convince him she wasn’t as scared as she actually felt. “My apologies. Perhaps if you were to explain and give me a reason as to why I should give him back to you I’d be more inclined. I’ve been known to be pretty understanding when the situation calls for it.”
Danarius smirked. Of course he believed her implication that she would save her own ass if she could. He was a slave owner, and no other creature is as spineless.

“I swear to the Maker,” he replied, offering her a helping hand. “And if you stop crying, I will reward you with treasure”
"Treasure?" The girl perked up, her tears slowing down.
As the boy smiled, the radiant sun spilled its golden rays through his tousled, blond curls, and cast a luminous halo around his head. "Yes, a beautiful amulet with Andraste’s undying flames engraved upon it."
"Oh, good sir," exclaimed the girl, her fear dissipating, "I won't cry, I promise!"
Taking his hand, she followed the boy, eager to get the promised reward. -

An AU based on the American and French Revolutions and a late 18th Century aesthetic. Hawke/Anders-centric but all listed ships get their due.
When Ferelden won its independence, rebuilding took an unexpected turn. Maric truly didn’t want to be king, so he urged the people to vote for General Loghain Mac Tir to lead a Republic. Now, as Ferelden faces a Blight, most of Thedas expects its radical experiment to fail against that threat. Its leaders must defeat attacks from the outside and, unfortunately, the inside.
Meanwhile, in Kirkwall, nobles and clerics still oppress the population: Mages, elves, regular people—all are crushed. But a group of would-be rebels have taken inspiration from Ferelden. They include a physician/apothecary who writes radical pamphlets and is secretly a mage, a fierce elven scholar trying to raise the Alienage, the son of a viscount killed by the Templars, and others. Maric, his elven wife, and their son soon travel there to help.
The three Hawke siblings fall in with this group, each one finding love and a place in the fight. But in the face of profound challenges to the revolution, can anyone prevent a terrible outcome?

After sacrificing herself so the Inquisitor and Alistair could escape the fade, Marian Hawke wakes up back in the normal world lost, confused, and unable to recall how she managed to escape... as well as bits and pieces of her life. Presumed to be dead and with no clue where she is, she struggles to get in contact with anyone she previously knew. Hawke is left wandering around aimlessly on the verge of death, the few memories of her family being her only motivation for moving on.
However when all hope seems lost, the Hero of Ferelden, Juliette Amell stumbles upon Hawke as she was searching for a cure for the blight. Taking her in, they both seemed somewhat unsure yet suspicious as to who the other was, until Hawke was finally reunited with Carver.
Still struggling to remember the events in the Fade, Marian decides to assist in searching for a cure for the blight, while trying her best to regain her memories again and live some semblance of a normal life with the few family she has left.
