i think one of the things missing the most from sherlock is the much needed discussion about what sherlock went through during those 2 years of dismantling moriarty’s web.
the man is traumatized, beaten, and alone. he couldn’t sleep, he was malnourished, and most of all, he was without john watson.

Enemies Sherlock made during his Time Away destroying Moriarty's web come calling at 221B Baker Street in what proves to be a very coordinated attack on the Holmes Brothers. Greg Lestrade, Sally Donovan and John Watson are accidentally drafted into what very quickly becomes a serious threat to Sherlock and, John supposes, Mycroft. Help is sent by the elder Holmes in the form of the mysterious Victor Trevor, a man a drugged Sherlock inexplicably trusts in a way John has never seen--and does not like.
Takes place after Sherlock's return but before he and John have really made up. Doesn't mention Mary.Warning: Attempted rape and non-con elements. Non-con drugging. Bad people are involved. Somewhat explicit, and while it isn't a major part of the story, reading it can't really be avoided.
