The War for Virtual Reality is well and truly on! Imagine giving up your main screen in the lounge and simply slipping on a pair of glasses with earphones and continue gaming on your Xbox One.

The VR Girlfriend experience from Illumination (a subsidiary of the now defunct Illusionsoft) or VR-Kanojo has a new trailer, but things are a little amiss. The character model and locations look way LESS detailed than the original game which released in Feb 2017. It’s a step backwards for sure, but what does look improved are the animations and things like naturally moving hair. The game releases on April 24th on PC via Steam but the jury’s out on whether this will be better than the original release.
Not sure about Microsoft, but as far as Valve, Sony and Faceculus I was under the impression they are kind of working together to make sure VR really takes off and is not just another gimmick like motion controls and stereoscopic 3D in gaming.
I hope it does, I mean we have had VR before but it didnt catch on. Like 3D TVs they came back around but again havent really 'taken off' again. Both concepts are equally as impressive
