Paramount Pictures Australia has removed a movie poster from its Facebook and Twitter accounts after widespread criticism online.
The poster from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie shows the titular characters jumping from an exploding skyscraper in New York. The movie's release date in Australia is Sept. 11.
Paramount tweeted a photo of the poster, but quickly deleted the message when Twitter users compared the image and release date to the 9-11 terrorist attacks.
