"Dawngate. It’s a MOBA that is exactly the same as every other MOBA on the market. Shown at EA’s E3 press conference, Dawngate is a MOBA that, by EA’s own admission, doesn’t do anything particularly new or interesting with the genre. Waystone Games, the team behind Dawngate, is proud of the fact that they’re made of mostly former professional League of Legends players and are focusing on making a game that appeals to the hardcore LoL players. But really, if you’re making a game that’s trying it’s damnedest to be a clone of a another game then why even bother?"
EA used to have Dawngate, a MOBA by Waystone Studios in development and not many people remember it nowadays. It is a story of late trend adoption EA never learned from, the same EA being decent for once and a fan-made resuscitation.
In the last couple of months, we've seen a handful of MOBA games that have closed down. The question now lingers: is there still room for new MOBAs in the gaming industry?
MMOGames columnist Jacob Crawford doesn't think the market has stagnated. Not yet anyway. So here are three reasons why he thinks that the MOBA market is as healthy as ever--and even showing signs of growth.

This one my Biggest gripes with EA Shutting down servers ok yeh frees up servers be used on other games but Come on your multi billion dollor company dig deep you cheap beeps.
Buy some servers goodness sakes, i think its wrong cos some servers run a game it gets eaither old or become less active they shut them down despite who plays there games.
I understand if it's occasionally but EA do this all the time to multiple games not always sports games like this article.
