This is Timespinner, the next big PC indie platformer (I'd say metroidvania, but people don't like that word). It's being developed by Lunar Ray Games, a studio headed by an ex-Bungie employee, and it looks quite excellent.

Timespinner, which has been in development for over five years, is the story of a young woman on a quest to destroy the Empire which, in turn, destroyed her life. As Lunar Ray says:

From the rich story worlds of Star Ocean, the expansive gothic castle exploration in Castlevania, and the tight gameplay of Megaman X, Timespinner seeks to weave all of these elements into one amazing game.

Time travel is part of the game both as a gameplay mechanic—you can freeze time to fight enemies, evade them, or to solve puzzles—and as a story device, as you can travel to different time periods in the planet's history as you combat the Empire. There's also different sorts weapons, called Magic Orbs, which can be used both short- and long-range, along with upgradable abilites, pets, and a large, interconnected world filled with hidden treasures and secret areas.

Timespinner is on Kickstarter at the moment, and it's doing pretty good! In only about eight hours, the campaign managed to collect almost $4,000 out of a necessary $50,000, and it still has over 29 days to get the rest. Looks like Heart Forth, Alicia might just get some competition—though this will only be out several months after Alicia, in November 2015.
