I just finished South of Midnight. I think it’s a solid AA, even though the combat could have been a bit deeper. I love a cross-over between South of Midnight and Psychonauts.
That'd be a really interesting crossover, mechanically. Like Hazel's "weaver self" can jump into the minds of Prospero locals struggling with trauma.
Putting aside the game for a moment, anyone else find it wild we're considering an 8/10 to be a 'flawed' game? lol
The writing is so good at certain parts and than it will just turn around and drop the ball so hard. None of her comments towards the notes she reads are interesting and half the time they don't actually fit with the context of what was written. I am on Chapter 11 and finding it very hard to push myself to finish it at this point. Also I understand what they are going for but the way they present the mistreatment of folks is about as subtle as a sledgehammer to the face. Could have been done a bit better.

TNS: Tempest Rising is a superb RTS game that sticks to the genre's roots but adds many modern QoL features to make it accessible to everyone.

Amazing to see how well EA did in their financial report, especially as TF was up with all the really huge and established multi platform games like BF and FIFA on 5 platforms
