Jack had never considered a future where he was released from slavery, where he could have a proper pack and be a free hybrid in the Antarctic Empire. When he followed Duke Quackity out of that terrible warehouse, there hadn’t been much going through his mind other than the desire to look after Tubbo. 我觉得辉夜之城（《辉夜之城》中的机构）、《辉夜之城》系列作品、《辉夜之城》系列作品输出的一些价值取向，都是反人类的。它的作品本身符合一些精神控制行为的特征。我认为，制作、电子出版并贩卖它，就是在对读者实施有危害的精神控制并牟利。我不反对描述与探究极端的、真实的或虚拟的、全球性的有组织暴力，但我反对将其以淫秽色情的方式表达。我不推荐任何人阅读《辉夜之城》系列作品，尽管它对我个人而言是一个有价值的反面典型。创作本作，有部分是出于自我疗愈《辉夜之城》与其作者给我制造的创伤，与反讽、反思、反对《辉夜之城》系列作品，的考量。
