Perfect fit. Great calls. Great sounding music. Comfortable.
    5 out of 5 stars
Perfect fit. Great calls. Great sounding music. Comfortable.
Pros: -Relatively cheap -Easily paired with phone -Music sounds great (clear with a decent bass) -Calls sound clearer/less background noise picked up than through my phone -Can wear for long periods of time without ears hurting -Don't shift around while wearing AT ALL -Nice range. Got about 50ft away from phone before music/call broke up -Have only charged three times in two weeks -Fold up and are light Cons: -Leak a ton of the music -If laying down, slightly (but not completely) uncomfortable I am a college student whose phone quality is downright awful. I make calls everyday and was tired of people telling me to repeat what I just said because they couldn't understand me. Worse they could hear other people around me better. I also listen to more music than anyone has any business listening to. What I needed then was a headset that had a better microphone than my phone and could give me a satisfying music experience. It also needed to be inexpensive. I have other money worries, so it's nice that I can buy a headset that actually works for a decent price rather than an overrated fashion statement that costs way too much money. So far, this headset delivers! I have only had the headset for two weeks but will update in another month or so. I listen to music as I walk to and from my classes all day, as well as when I sit down to study or do assignments. As any serious college student knows, that's practically all of the time. I now keep my phone in my backpack as I walk as there is no need to have it out to skip through songs. With a press of the buttons I can increase/decrease volume, skip a track or repeat a song I just heard. Pressing the call button while listening to music will pause it. As soon as I leave for class in the morning I turn the volume up entirely on my phone, and then can increase the volume further from the headset for louder music. I pause the music when I get to class and let the headset hang around my neck during class. The blue light that flashes on the right headphone does not bother me or anyone else I know of. Be aware, even if the phone is on silent and your headset is on, it will make a relatively low beeping jingle upon an incoming call. It's not loud enough to disturb the entire class but you will get looks from the people sitting immediately around you. Whether I'm studying or just taking a break, listening to music on this headset is fun! I put my phone somewhere (like on charge on the other side of my room), and don't have to worry about going out of range. I put my phone at one end of a hallway and walked away from it listening to my music as loud as it would go. It didn't break up until I was around 50ft away. For me, the listening experience could be improved if so much of the sound didn't leak out. I listen to music very loud, so when I first tried out the headset, I turned it up to my preferred volume. I then took them off and was surprised by how much everyone else would be able to hear. For me, it's not really a problem since I use them in my room or while walking to class. I could really care less whether passing students hear my music, but for others it may be a problem. The volume CAN be adjusted to where not too much music is leaking, though. It depends on how loud your music needs to be. The music is all clean too, as far as I can tell. I've run them past any genre you can think of. I was surprised by how much bass there actually was. I played a few bass test songs and was surprised by how well they did. They get really loud paired with my phone, too. They don't sound professional or anything, but they definitely sound good for what I paid for them. I wear this headset all the time. The cushions are definitely nice to my ears. Obviously, after two hours or so you can feel you've been wearing it where the headset wraps around the ear, though. I usually just adjust it, or take them off for five minutes, and put them right back on. Also, while laying down they are slightly uncomfortable but some adjusting takes care of that for me, as well. They also do not shift around! If you are like me, you kill ear buds with cords within a month. They get caught on notebooks in my pack, are pulled out while walking, etc. I like that this headset has no cords, so that should definitely help extend the life. I was worried that they would fall off or shake while I was walking around or doing things. When I first got them, I put them on and shook my head to see if they would fly off. I jumped around, bent over quickly to see how much they shifted. Nothing. These don't go anywhere. The buttons did make a slight rattle but it was hardly noticeable at all. I haven't tried running in them yet, but will have to. I do not have to worry about them coming off while walking around or doing any of my other day-to-day activities. I also like that they fold up and I can store them in the corner of the drawer. This decreases the chance of them getting tangled with other things. My phone calls have never been better. I do not think it is all just that my phone had an awful mic, either. Being in college, there are lots of social places I go to that can get noisy quickly while I'm taking a call. I am easily heard over any background noise the headset picks up. To me, they really only look like a headset for listening to music, so you get a weird look here and there before they realize you're making a call. I have gotten a compliment or two, as well. Before I purchased them, I was worried how they would look but they're really no larger than any other headset I have. If you have any qualms about the size of the headset I have posted some size comparison photos. I also haven't really charged them, unlike my phone which I HAVE to charge every day. I did the initial charge when I first bought them. I've charged them two more times since just to charge them. The red light went off after a half hour both times, meaning it didn't really need charged yet. Since my phones battery seems to drain all on its own, I was slightly worried about how much battery the Bluetooth would consume. It hasn't really made much of a difference. Listening to music drains the battery, it doesn't seem to matter whether I use this headset or another that isn't Bluetooth. I have never owned a Bluetooth headset. In fact, I've never had a use for Bluetooth until I bought this headset. The instructions were easy to follow and I paired my phone with no problems. I have a Samsung Android Smartphone. If my laptop was Bluetooth compatible I would use this headset even more. Overall, I love these headphones! I often forget I'm wearing them and they give me good-sounding calls and music--all for a good price! If these are as durable as I'm hoping, they will definitely be worth it. Some have mentioned the blinking blue light is annoying. It does not bother me, or my friends, in the least. Some have also mentioned something about the charging cable being too short. It is a standard cable and many of my other charging cables fit it. I took one from a camera I own since it's longer.

just got these in today, and I've already got one extremely good pro with these, that not alot of Bluetooth "makers" do when it comes to their products.

The first thing ill point out, and by far my favorite feature thus far, is the fact that while these charge u CAN use them still. I've had several BT headsets, and headphones where while it's charging you CANNOT use it, at all.

Secondly, being a HUGE music buff, i need good sound. I don't have a full range sound system in my car for no reason. The sound quality of these, listening to more metal/black metal/rock/punk styles of music, is exceptional. It's not horrible, of course its not the best out there, but for the price its not bad at all. It doesn't hit the extreme lows of say some rap/dub but there is still a presence of some moderate level bass. The mid-high range is decent, it does get slightly "scratchy" at extreme volumes but its not horrible.

Last thing ill touch on is pairing. It paired quick and easy with my phone, samsung solstice. I did have a slight issue pairing it to my BT dongle on my comp but i realized i didn't have the "official" driver installed for it, which shouldn't have been a issue but it was. Found the disk for it and it paired with no issues, its a SMK-LINK VP6493.

As of now there are no issues with this device. I've only given it 4 stars for now to leave, room, for any "early judgement" on the device. I got this more or less for flights as I've been traveling a lot lately. I will update this within the next couple weeks to let you guys know how it does traveling/while working.

      Edit - 9/24/2012

one thing i forgot to touch on, was how comfortable this was. At first it did seem a little small. it was a little annoying getting my hair around it. However after it was on it wasn't all that uncomfortable. A tad small but it fits and it doesn't "squeeze", and it doesn't yank on my ears. There is a video review for this item that touches on how comfortable this product is and he hits the nail on the head as some would say.

      edit - 10/13/2012

after a couple weeks, these headphones are still rolling, in most cases they outlast my phone *Samsung solstice* when I'm listening to music. call quality is good, I've only had a few instances where the other person couldn't hear me but I'm not positive if it was the headset as the phones the company i work for use suck, horribly. i use them daily while at work and home, the distance around the house is about 15-20 feet going through 1 or 2 walls, i know of 1 wall in the house that is a solid block wall and any connection *even my routers going through that wall directly to the other side* has issues with thick walls. I've also been on 3 flights with them and had no issues. occasionally however when at work it will cut out for a split second but its nothing to major.

I've upped this to 5 stars for now, will keep you guys updated as to full longevity of them in a single use.

I just got them yesterday. They took longer than most Amazon orders to get here, but not bad. Good news, I can hear calls on my Iphone, if any of you have an Iphone you know that the speaker is nearly worthless in a car or truck. With these I have at least double the volume that the Iphone provides and it is hands free. They do have a reach of about 30 feet. Within range it is perfectly clear and my friends say they hear me better than they ever have on speaker. I have a bad upper back and cannot hold a phone to my head for long and till now I have used speaker almost exclusively. I would have given 5 stars, but the instructions are only one page, written like a 1st grader, printed both sides and the description on the Amazon page is almost as informative as the instructions. Fortunately they are easy to use and the one page instruction got me going and everything works. If you are wearing them and a call comes in, you just touch the ear piece and and it comes through. I haven't tried the voice activated calling, the Iphone 4S that I have calls Dave when I ask for Bob, so I will ignore that capability and do it the old fashioned way. It hooked up to the Iphone as neat as can be, anyone who can't do that is retarded, I mean they made it simple as pie. I have a land line that is bluetooth and it wanted me to unhook the cell phone before I could connect to it, so it, or my land line V-Tech phone, won't do both at a time. Since I got it for the Iphone I just told V-Tech to take a hike, the speaker on it is loud enough for the house. If there are any problems I will re-post and let you know, but for the first couple days my friends and I are impressed. One thing. I had a Jawbone and I once fired a shotgun while talking and my buddy didn't hear it. It has amazing background suppression. Today I was talking and turned on the tap for a glass of water and my buddy asked if I was chewing glass, so this does not have sound suppression. I will see tomorrow how it works in the car as I have a Dr. Appt. about 45 miles away, and see if my friends can hear me over car noise. If they can hear me I will upgrade it to a 5. The Jawbone cost me around $100 and this was only $30, so I don't want to compare it to Jawbone for tech. One the other hand, the Jawbone was a pain in the ear and kept falling out and this is snug and comfortable. Update after field trial. fredt
Works great in truck. Friends think so too Loud and clear. Touch to answ. Touch to hang up. Apparently noise isn't a problem cause buddy said he could hear me better than ever. Comfortable too. Love it so far. Battery is good too. Fredt
Someone asked if it has a microphone on it, it does and everyone says I am louder and easier to hear than ever. The insructions say to run the battery completely down the first three times and it took over a week to run the durn thing down. Great, inexpensive product. The background noise from my Garmin bothers a buddy of mine and they don't make a product with noise suppression. The cust. service is great. I have emailed them several times with questions and they answer me the next day with great explanations. They are working on better instructions, but I love it just like I got it. I will keep an eye for more Kinivo stuff, I like them.
      Update
The longer I have them the better I like them. Battery life is unbelievable. Music sounds like great stereo system.

Welcher kleine Knopf was macht, hat man sehr schnell raus.

I used to have the BTH240 but lost them. So bought these again.
They fit, feel amazing to me but the only drawback is the older bluetooth rating.
I wish Kinivo would make these with BT5.2 or newer.
Also, they could be a little cheaper too.

I have been using this headset for about 3-4 weeks.
Minus: I have been told that, unless I speak really loud, the microphone is not very clear and the person at the other end hears me as if I were really far and hears a lot of interference. But I can hear the other person very well.
      This is the only disadvantage.
I am using this headset while running, and I mean, I have run about 20 hours and the headset never moved/shifted. Sound quality and clarity is amazing; base is great too, and I tend to listen to loud dance/pop/electronic music. Headset resists to sweaty ears, so no slipping in the middle of a run(longest run was 1 hr 10). Battery life is very good. I only charged it once fully.
Connectivity is great: I use a BlackBerry and the bluetooth connexion was easy to set up. I was able to connect it as well with my playbook. This headset is monkey-proof!
I really consider buying another one, and will definitely look at this company's other products.
Amazing for the price, cordless quality freedom!
