Seventh sign was overlooked by critics upon release in 1988, even here on Rotten Tomatoes, the plot is mentioned " an evil has awakened ", that is incorrect, makes you wonder if movies are watched before passing reviews. Nevertheless, this movie is a fine supernatural chiller with religious roots. It has engaging performances with a unfolding mystery that keeps you riveted, atmosphere is well crafted with dark spooky imagery, Demi moore & Jurgen Procknow deliver some intense moments on screen. This movie deserves much more credit

Demi Moore plays a pregnant woman who is looking forward to giving birth after previously miscarrying. A stranger renting a room from her predicts that giving birth to her child will unleash the seventh sign which will end the world. I've always dug this movie, it took itself seriously and emitted a pretty creepy vibe to it with its religious overtones. Michael Biehn and Jurgen Prochnow costar.
