Emmy Rossum reveals bra under ultra-sheer pencil dress at the NYC premiere of Aaron Paul's film Need for Speed

Emmy Rossum revealed the outline of her bra under an ultra-sheer frock at the New York premiere of Need for Speed on Tuesday.

The 27-year-old starlet looked her usual prim and polished self pairing the pebble-patterned pencil dress with a silky black clutch and nude pumps.

The Golden Globe nominee brought Showtime's former social media supervisor - Alyssa Ravich - as her date to the glitzy screening hosted by the Cinema Society.

'When my bestie @emmyrossum takes me to meet [the film's star Aaron Paul] I'm insanely happy!' Alyssa wrote on her Instagram.

The street-racing drama - hitting theatres on Friday - also features Michael Keaton, Dominic Cooper, Imogen Poots, and Rami Malek.

Emmy - who just flew home from Austin's SXSW Festival - plays Fiona Gallagher in the fourth season of Shameless airing Sunday nights on Showtime.

Earlier on Tuesday, Rossum tweeted: 'NY. Nothing like the energy of my hometown. People be yelling "Fionaaaaa!" at me on 7th avenue. #Shameless.'

The Sentimental Journey crooner's character is currently on house arrest after her brother Liam overdosed on the bag of cocaine she accidentally left out.

'People are angry at me!' the brunette beauty told HitFix.

'I was on vacation right after we wrapped last week and I was on the beach and a man came up to me and said, "How dare you be on vacation on the beach? You should be in jail for accidentally giving that toddler cocaine."

'And then just walked away. But I take that as I'm doing my job right and I do feel like there will be a certain amount of redemption for Fiona.'

Emmy has been single since splitting with her boyfriend of two years, Tyler Jacob Moore, six months ago.

Rossum - who divorced music executive Justin Siegel in 2010 - has also romanced actor Topher Grace and Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz.

The Beautiful Creatures actress will next appear in the indie dramedy Comet with Justin Long and the drama You're Not You with Hilary Swank.

Also at the Manhattan movie event was the Breaking Bad favourite rocking a black leather motorcycle jacket over a matching polo shirt and jeans.

The in-demand 34-year-old also posed with his similarly attired co-star Ramon Rodriguez, who plays Joe Peck in Need for Speed.

Aaron and the Puerto Rican-born 34-year-old goofed around pointing together in unison on the red carpet.

And joining him in support was his Breaking Bad co-star Bryan Cranston.

Stars including Rachel Roy then joined the cast at a bash following the screening at the Jimmy at the James Hotel and sipped Bushmill's cocktails named Dino's Dram, The Bounty, and Tobey's Tune Up, in keeping with the film.
