Trust me, I don't agree with spending that much money for a "perk" like that, but I don't see the point in condemning this game specifically, when so many other crowdfunding efforts are being much less user-friendly and much more malicious in their pitches. This is a much, much tamer endeavor in comparison.

And I don't think that the promotion of "better than Shaq Fu" is being used literally. If taken literally, then we can only pray they're right. Instead, it's a demonstration of creative character and shows that the game has humor. It can laugh at itself and its terrible legacy, using that bizarre appeal to its aesthetic advantage.

I agree that if you're using "better than Shaq Fu" as a literal, honest selling point, then you're acting desperate, which is why I highly doubt that the devs are.

If you don't want to support the game, I don't fault you, as I'm not an avid fan of contributing to a promise as opposed to a product either. However, many of these issues are either mis-intepreted in their motive or just so insignificant that only the minute few would actually follow them, and those few aren't about to shape the future of gaming on their own.
