UPDATE: March 2, 2014 at 10:49 p.m. ET DeGeneres' selfie is now the most retweeted image of all time, garnering more than 1 million retweets in just 45 minutes.
Ellen DeGeneres just took the most epic selfie in the history of the word epic -- and the history of selfies.
The Oscars' host managed to gather a gaggle of celebrities, including Jennifer Lawrence, Angelina Jolie, Bradley Cooper, Kevin Spacey, Jared Leto, Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Lupita Nyong'o and Brad Pitt for a picture for the Academy Awards history books.
If only Bradley's arm was longer. Best photo ever. #oscars pic.twitter.com/C9U5NOtGap

So much beauty. So much talent. So much money. So many Oscar wins. In ONE selfie. Never again will any picture you take matter.

The current record holder for most retweeted image is held by President Barack Obama after being re-elected to the White House in 2012. Obama's tweet garnered 778,424 retweets since 2012 and Ellen's selfie tweet already has more than 400,000 retweets in just 30 minutes.
Step aside, Obama -- we're guessing Ellen's tweet is about to one-up you.
Earlier in the night, DeGeneres tweeted a selfie from the stage, which she took on a Samsung Galaxy Note 3. (Side note: Brilliant marketing on Samsung's part.) The image already has more than 150,000 retweets.
