Hi there. I'm a science and technology journalist based out of Saint Paul, MN with 20 years (and millions of words) of experience.
I’m currently a senior technology reporter for Ars Technica, where I cover Google, AI, and mobile technology. My past bylines include ExtremeTech, Android Police, Wirecutter, PC World, HotHardware, NY Times, and many more. Over the years, I’ve written extensively about smartphones, mechanical keyboards, laptops, smart home, and 5G. I have particularly extensive knowledge of Android, which I have covered in depth since its inception. I’ve reviewed more smartphones than most people will own in their entire lives.
In addition to covering technology, I have written about advances in biology, space/astronomy, chemistry, materials science, and physics. I have a background in science, giving me the context to cover these topics in an engaging and informative way.
I am not currently accepting any freelance projects.
