Great example of kimono alteration for this lovely furisode (maybe a kakeshita, or bridal furisode?) depicting peacock and mandarin duck among blooming roses + all-seasons flowers.You can see here how it was lenghthened: the white fabric stripe added to lower torso part is hidden under the obi once styled. If you don’t mind altering a piece, it’s a great way to wear a too short kimono!
