Also featured in the December 11 content is a new Operation set in 1915 on the Gallipoli peninsula and the L-Class Destroyer.This will be followed by the the remaining two maps focusing on the North Sea— Heligoland Bight and Zeebrugge — which will launch sometime in January. This second batch of content will include the British Empire: Royal Marines faction and the C-Class Airship.
Premium Pass owners will get a two-week head start with the Turning Tides DLC. After those two weeks are up with the North Sea content, Turning Tides will be available for all to purchase as a standalone expansion pack.
Turning Tides also features the new Conquest Assault game mode, where players fight to control designated areas on the map with the defending team controlling all areas at the start of each match. Other new content includes Service Assignments, Specializations, Dog Tags, Service Stars, Medals, Ribbons, and more.
Turning Tides follows Battlefield 1's second expansion, In the Name of the Tsar, which EA released on September 19. EA is offering a free trial to try out In the Name of the Tsar and They Shall Not Pass content between November 22 and December 4, and between December 8 and December 10.
