PlayStation's Scott Rhode offered a brief update on Sucker Punch back in 2015, saying he had played the studio's next game calling it fun but still in the early stages of development. He also addressed the future of Infamous, saying Sony is "never gonna retire an IP," but wouldn't confirm whether or not Sucker Punch is working on another entry in the series.
Looking back on the studio's development history, Sucker Punch recently revealed that Infamous started off as essentially an Animal Crossing experience with superheroes.
Infamous: Second Son released in 2014 and, at the time of its release, IGN's review of the game said it was a departure "in tone for the Infamous series, but its superpowered action lives up to expectations."
Sucker Punch made its first game for the Nintendo 64 back in 1999, and then went on to create the Sly Cooper series on the PS2 and Infamous on PS3.
