Working in 50 developing countries across Africa, Asia and the Americas, Plan aims to reach as many children as possible, particularly those who are excluded or marginalized with high quality programs that deliver long lasting benefits by increasing its income, working in partnership with others and operating effectively. Plan's vision is of a world in which all children realize their full potential in societies that respect people's rights and dignity and aims to achieve lasting improvements in the quality of life of deprived children in developing countries. In Ethiopia Plan’s goal is to provide assistance and protection for children affected by emergencies and disasters.
About the Position
The EU Regional Development and Protection Programme (RDDP) is funded by the EU Trust Fund for Africa (EUTF) set up to improve protection and enhance development prospects of refugees and local communities, aiming to offer an alternative to risks of irregular migration.
RDPP is one of the flagship initiatives launched in June 2015, aiming at to developing evidence-based, innovative and sustainable approaches, in partnership with governments in the region, to address the protection needs of refugees, internally displaced people (IDPs) and their host communities and to promote durable solutions for them that integrate the development needs of refugees and of the local population, where possible.
