Inter will have scouts present at Bologna’s next two games with Milan and Juventus to cast an eye over attacker Simone Verdi.
Had Inter not had their mercato blocked by owners Suning, they would have already made an attempt for Verdi back in the summer. A permanent move in January is difficult for a number of reasons. Inter are no longer blocked by Suning but limited by Financial Fair Play which prevents them spending large sums without making sales. Moreover, Bologna are looking for €20 million for the Italian international, a fee that could be too big for the Nerazzurri in January for the aforementioned reason of FFP.
However, the Nerazzurri could propose a loan with an obligatory redemption attached for the 25-year-old Tuttosport detail. Verdi has impressed onlookers this term having scored four and assisted four in sixteen games in all competitions and is under contract with the Rossoblu through to 2021.
