Ocean weather and sea state affect every aspect of our sport from enjoyment and success to safety.

A  deeper understanding of the factors that drive weather and the tools available to sailors, from forecasts to analyses to routing, can make the boat safer, faster, and more comfortable.  Relying not only on electronic forecasts but also real-time observations to determine your weather situation will help "failure-proof" your voyage and reduce reliance on sometimes unreliable data collection.

Our roster of experienced offshore weather experts include many ocean crossings in their collective resumes and many years of professional weather experience.

The session starts at 0830 and ends at 1730 followed by a reception.
