Matt writes: While covering this year's BendFilm Festival in Bend, Oregon, last month, I had the great joy of speaking at length with Oscar-nominated filmmaker Tamara Jenkins ("Slums of Beverly Hills," "The Savages"), who was honored by the festival as its Indie Woman of the Year.
