Lio Rush wrestled at a NXT house show last night

After we on the wrestle web got worked up about the WWE contract status of Lio Rush after noticing the company name wasn’t on his social media accounts in the wake of a Twitter flap regarding the 23 year old’s reaction to Emma’s release, reports followed saying Rush was still with The ‘E.

Then, on NXT’s Thursday night (Nov. 30) stop in Lakeland, Florida...

Rush opened the show - and won! - against Adrian Jaoude. Pretty good for someone who was supposed to be in so much trouble with the brass he was close to being let go. Curtain jerking a show at an armory in Central Florida doesn’t mean there’s no heat on you, but it’s certainly not something released guys do.

Luckily, this is pro wrestling, so there will be something else we fans can collectively misinterpet and overreact to any minute now.
