Volunteering at the Alliance Française has allowed me to meet fantastic people. During Fashion artisan week I got to meet 2 amazing Master of Art.

The opening night started with a Meet & Greet, followed by a fashion show with the local designers, Ying the label, Weekend Sundries and French designer, Diane de Malherbe.

The evening continued with The film/documentary “Handmade with Love in France” which follow a few French craftsmen and show their expertise and how they have created the very essence of luxury. It was followed by a Q&A with 2 French Maitres d’Art (Master of Art): Nelly Saunier - Feather artist & Sylvain Le Guen - Fan Maker.
They both arrived that afternoon from Japan. Sylvain missed his flight but Nelly was on hand to answer the questions from the audience. Since she doesn’t speak English I got to be the interpreter (me, speaking in front of an audience 😱).
