There is no correct catagory on here to post this, so I hope I'm lucky lol. I hate to lol, but it seemed right lol. I think there is a new way to vape happening for low wattage people. It's about getting the biggest most flavorful cloud from a single coil at .5 ohms and 15 to 17 watts. Ofcourse MTL, however you can still direct lung 12 MG nic and it is smooth and tasty. I'm also using cotton to make big tanks like the cleito 120 or cloud beast take a single coil, which is I guess why this works so well. The cleito single coil adapter lacks effectiveness, and the beast doesn't have one. Vape for life...live to vape Thanks for reading this to those that do.

I'll agree my MTL preferences have gotten a wee bit airier over time but I'm nowhere near 0.5 usually, or blowing clouds or being at 15.5 watts, but who knows what'll end up happening? LOL.

Interesting. I read that MTL is mostly for those using 1.2 and above coils and I have always wondered why. I guess because I am a former analog smoker I am a MTL-er. I use .5 coils and 20 to 22 watts with the airflow wide open and it is perfect for me. I am now down to between 2 and 3 of nic. When I first started vaping before I moved to mods the tight draw annoyed me. I am not a cloud chaser but I like to feel it!

Depends on my mood. Recently I messed up a coil and made it 0.75 instead of 0.90 Ohms. At the same time I put in a bit less cotton. I also added some decent quality VG to some 24 mgs nic pure PG juice to make it 50/50@12nic. The result was that I ended up with a much airier vape that was pushing out more vapor. I slapped a restricted airflow drip tip on there and I was good to go. I found the experience to be more like a cig. Now I can't decide how I want to do the coils in my dual coil set up. I was going to aim for 0.90 there as well but I'm kind of liking this.

Then by all means stick with a build you like, unless you want to experiment just because. As to mtl cloud chasing, it's all about the airflow. Able to move more air across, the more vapor generated. I think the old mtl >1 ohm/dl<1.0 ohm we always throw around is a misnomer. You can do either mtl or dl or both.

When I started, I was a 24 mg low air Nautilus coil. I found I didn't love the really tight air, and moved on to an airer setup with lower nic to compensate for the larger vapor production. Now, even with really low ohm, very airy setups I don't view myself as cloud chaser. Do I get more vapor? Sure, but that's not my goal, my goal is a comfy easy draw that keeps me from smoking.

I mtl a .5 coils on the crown tank with the airflow as closed as it goes without being completely shut. In watts I’m anywhere between 40-60 and I get nice clouds. I also vape 20mg of nicotine because I like a little buzz and I’m not trying to quit the nic. Now that I’ve heard of restricted lung hits or whatever I guess I do that sometimes also.

I'm not sure what I am. I have 2 tanks, a supertank on which I like the 0.5 ohms at 29 watts and a Valyrian which has 0.15 ohms at 57 watts. Both vaped at airflow little under half open.

I find the Valyrian a bit much for me...too much cloud.

I havent been able to find coils for the supertank higher than 0.5 ohms...I think I'd prefer something around 0.75 and a lower wattage.

Anyone with suggestions on what new tank to get? I dont want to build, I dont mind paying for ready made screw in coils.

Is that any of these?

Tobeco Super Tank - Top threads used.

Tobeco Super Tank KS- Top threads used.

Tobeco Super Tank Mini- Top threads used.

Tobeco Super Tank Mini 25mm- Top threads used.

Because I found a thread on a different site claiming that Aspire Atlantis coils will fit.

If the supertank you referred to is one of those, then google coil compatibility. Apparently the site I found that info on isn't allowed to be mentioned here. My post was automatically edited and the name of the site was removed.

Yup, for a Super tank, any Atlantis style coil will fit. I've used everything from Tobeco's own 0.3 ohm notch coil, which turns out to be SS and performs really well to Atlantis 0.5 ohm and even th 1.8 ohm coil which really throttles the airflow to, all the way to Vaporesso's EUC ceramic coils placed in a BVC sleeve adapter. It's a pretty versatile tank and is not at all expensive.

Wow I never thought anyone would respond to this. Thanks to all! Very interesting how each person has their take on it. I guess that's the beauty of vaping. I use a different type of coil for low wattage, MTL or DTL or a mix of both. It's not a cylindrical shape, and has an opened top dish shape. So I put the cotton into it from the top. The coil is very opened, much more than a tube coil that's opened. It's twisted 30 gage kanthal, run at .5 ohms 14 to 17 watts. I'm getting what for mtl are big clouds and very dense cause the coil has no ramp up time due to its lack of density. My god I had to vent...no pun intended.
