As a registered charity, founded in 1979, Action Against Hunger operates in 45 countries. The international network of Action Against Hunger is represented in Paris, London, Madrid, Montreal and New York. Teams in the field combat hunger on 4 fronts: nutrition, food security, health, water and sanitation.
For our Logistics department in Waghimra, we are currently looking for the following professional:Base Logistician: - Female/Male

Salary: ETB 10, 837.00

Duties and Responsibilities:
1: Consolidate and Process the Procurement Responsibilities:
- Ensure that any procurement should be done in-line with Action Against Hunger procurement policy and procedures
- Follow-up and collect PRs from Addis Ababa office and filed office as predefined schedules
- Preparing of purchase documents like AT, SPO, AF, contract, etc.
- Follow-up orders and ensure delivery of right items at the right place and right time
2: Manage Suppliers Database Responsibilities:
- Update supplier’s data regularly by using different sources like carrying out of market assessment, information from PFU, walk-in suppliers, etc.
- Maintain price list and share to the concerned bodies at least once a year.
3: Stock Management Responsibilities:
- Ensure stock transactions done according to Action Against Hunger standard policies and procedures
- Ensure every items transported have to accompanied by Action Against Hunger Delivery Note (DN)
4: Archiving Activities:
- Ensure Archiving of procurement and warehouse documents as per Action Against Hunger archiving procedure.
5: Reporting Activities:
- prepare procurement activities monthly report and submit within the reporting timeframe
- Prepare store activities monthly report and submit within the reporting timeframe
- Share updated SFU to all users on bi-weekly bases
- Any activity assigned by the supervisor
Educational / Professional Background: Diploma in Supply chain management/Logistics/ Business administration + 5 years’ work experience with similar positions or B.A Degree in Supply chain Management/Logistics/Business Administration +3 years’ work experience with similar positions
Required skills: Experience in humanitarian work indispensable – Experience in management of bulk purchases, computer skills (excels and word), good analytical capacity, team spirit – Good communication and relations with people.
